Canal Latéral à la Marne begins just north of the town of Vitry-le-François, where it links up with the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne (formerly known as the MarneSâone canal) and the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, and runs for 67 kms to the small settlement of Dizy, where it joins the upper reaches of the River Marne.

Details are provided on all the marinas, haltes and other mooring points (even picnic stops) along the waterway, together with information on facilities, shopping and nearby attractions. Each mooring point is illustrated by a colour photo, meaning that the guide is the only detailed pictorial reference available for cruising on this waterway.

The guide is available for purchase in printed or digital format (PDF, which members can download for free from the members' EIWS web page). Reports on all the moorings are also included on CAptain's Mate, the CA's proprietary app, enabling them to be regularly updated by CA members posting online reports using the app.

This guide is one of a series of 17 full colour guides to moorings on the French inland waterways, produced and edited by Gordon Knight, based on a series of annual cruises along these beautiful inland waterways.
